no attachment button when using a public folder task in OWA 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are currently in the process of migrating users to the BPOS solution from our exisiting Exchange 2003 setup, as public folders are not supported it is taking longer than we had hoped.  One issue we have just come across is that if a user logs into the public folders by OWA they are unable to attach a file to a Task.  The button is just not available, however there is a section for attachments to be listed if they were attached.

Any ideas how we can fix this would be appreciated.

  • Hi peter,

I want to verify some information about the issue, do you mean that you have the issue through owa to the mailbox which hosted on the MS online service?
If so I would sugggest that you could post the issue on the BPOS forum, you will get more help from there.
If I misunderstand your issue, please tell us.

  • Did you check user have enough permission when he login to OWA and open public folders. Its looking permission issue.

You can use tool PFDEV to assign permission more efficiently. See below.
