Project web app. Is this an app or page? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I assigned project online license to user, and make him to click the app

but it shows that he doesn't have any permission. and there are box for text and send button, so I made him to write something and send.

I expected a invitation request message, but nothing happened.

Even I assigned a user a license, why doesn't he have any permission to open the app?

  • Hello,

The site collection administrator for the Project Online site collection (the app) will need to give the user access now they have a license. This might help: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/step-1-sign-up-for-project-online-3fda2b6f-3145-46fa-af02-e39a00450ec1

  • If you are using Project Permissions mode the individual will need to be added to at least one security group. The security groups can be accessed from Server Settings in PWA. The Out of the Box security groups provide a pretty good hierarchic escalation of user privileges so in most cases can be easily adopted. If you have more explicit security requirements you can consider designing your own groups and security categories - defining an RBS and making use of Departments are two further features that can significantly improve on the basic security model.
