Account Keeps getting locked out RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have an issue with my account since updating to Windows 10

My AD account keeps getting locked out. I have check on our Domain Controller and it says the lockout is coming from my Laptop.

I have cleared all cache and passwords from any browsers

I have cleared out the passwords from the password Vault

I have my password set to never expire and have never changed it so seems strange that I get locked out.

I have noticed I get locked out of a few of my mapped drives going to our file server it tells me the username or password is incorrect, however I have mapped drives to other server locations and these work?

Any help would be greatly appreaciated

    Cheers,

    Alan

  • Hi,

    configure this policy:

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon

It worked for me and all my colleagues.

  • You can try free Netwrix Account Lockout Examiner tool to investigate the issue. Also, there is a quick guide about MS ALtools, https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Account-Lockout-Troubleshoo-542cb9ff
