  • Hello,

So i never used GalSync, but These are the same Settings like in the normal AD MA.

The Provision for is to set the Exchange Version you will Provision contacts to, so after Provision the contact in the Destination Server (AD) FIM can call the update-recipient cmdlet.

If you choose 2007, you can enter optionally an Servername for your Exchange, but FIM will search for the correct Server, so you only Need to provide a Name in some spacial cases (ex. Firewall config).

If you choos 2010 you must enter the URL to the RemotePowershell of Exchange 2010, which is http://servername/Powershell

    Regards
    Peter

  • regarding the questions you have see:

    http://jorgequestforknowledge.wordpress.com/2010/03/10/provisioning-mailboxes-in-exchange-2007-2010-by-ilm-fim/

if you have Exchange 2003 configure "provisioning for" with: NO PROVISIONING

if you have Exchange 2007 configure "provisioning for" with: EXCHANGE 2007 and it is not mandatory to configure a RUS server. Leaving it empty is fine

if you have Exchange 2010/2013 configure "provisioning for" with: EXCHANGE 2010 and configuring the CAS URI in the format of: http://<CAS Server Or Cluster>/PowerShell

for every GAL MA you need to specify which version you have of Exchange and how to connect to it so that it knows how to create the contacts, coming in from other GAL MAs, in the directory service and in exchange

  • Thank you.

This provision for means provision contact objects to Exch2007,Exch2010 or mailbox objects to Exch2007,Exch2010 ?
