No sound on my new laptop

Question
-
My new computer (Acer Aspire Notebook w/Windows 10) was delivered Monday evening, & by Midnight Wednesday, I had no sound, even though it was working just fine Monday night & Tuesday afternoon. I hover over the volume icon & it says that no audio output device is installed. I'm not sure how it became uninstalled, as I didn't purposely do it, & I'm the only one with access to this computer.
I've tried several times, in several different ways, to get my sound back, but I don't really know what I'm doing. Someone said I need to uninstall Windows 10, but I don't know how to do that, either.
If you've had this same problem & were able to get it resolved, please help me.

............ even though it was working just fine Monday night & Tuesday afternoon...............
Do a system restore. Pick Monday or Tuesday as your restore point.
Use this tutorial:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4588-system-restore-windows-10-a.htmlHope that will help.
If not, download the Realtek HD Audio Codecs
There is one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false*** adding..............
I also own an Acer Aspire 7741Z laptop.
It has the generic audio driver. The sound was bad.
I fixed that by installing the Realtek HD Audio Codecs using the same link I gave you.- Edited by david hk129 Friday, March 24, 2017 2:01 AM

Hi ,
First of all, run the built-in troubleshoot tool to have a diagnostic.
Path: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories Playing Audio
Then, Open Device Manager, check your sound card's status, enable it if it is disabled. Right click it, update driver software, check if it helps.
If not help, please download and install the last version of sound card driver for your machine model from Acer, then test again.
