outlook 2013 not able to accept invites from users for access to a secondary shared calendar. RRS feed

  • Question

  • user A has their main calendar and several additional calendars they have created, all under their account. They want to share one or two of them with other user in the same organization. They right click and choose share, open the address book and select the users they want to share with. The user receives the email with offer of the shared calendar and they click accept and an error occurs. Folder not found. check the permissions on the original calendar and all of the users the received the message are publishing editors. Login to O365 and click accept from OWA and it works fine.

  • We had the same issues here with ProPlus. How we solved this was installing the regular version of O365 and attaching the others using office development tool or you can download what your missing. Not sure why everything is not working with the calendar for some of our ProPlus as it just started recently. You could possibly try and re-install ProPlus didn't do that since most people didn't need all application it was more effective to use the tool.

  • Hi SGTWTF22,

    >> The user receives the email with offer of the shared calendar and they click accept and an error occurs.
Is there any detailed error message when the issue occurs?

Please refer to the suggestion of PK_colorado and see if the issue can be fixed after installing the regular version of O365.

Besides, users can add User A as an additional mailbox in their profile and then give permission on sub-folders to test the results. To grant permission, instead of sending invite email, please directly open Calendar Permission tab and click Add.

Reference: Access or share non-default Outlook folders
