Every once in a while, I receive an error that says the "Remote Access Control Manager has stopped working". Right after this, I get another error that says that the Windows Host Process was shutdown. I also get a balloon message in the bottom right that says that DEP has shutdown the windows host process to protect my computer. This has been occurring intermittently for a few months now. I also notice that after I select "close this program" my taskbar and button styles revert back to the old style of windows. Aero, however still appears to be working as I still get the glass effect. I have posted below the problem event description.
I have looked in my event log to try to find the error that occurred at the same time, but all I could find is the error that says svchost.exe failed.
What could be the problem?
