UAG FileSharing "operation not allowed" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to configure File Access in UAG, so I open up the UAG Management console and go to Admin > File Access.  I choose the domain, and go to the "servers" page, which presents me with the list of servers in that domain.  After I choose one or more servers and hit "Apply", I get a page showing the following message:

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL.  Please contact the system administrator"

In the event log, I get the following error with "Active Server Pages" as the source:
"Error: File /FileSharingAdmin/computers.asp Line 47 Operation not Allowed. .

Has anyone seen this before?  Any ideas how to solve it?

Is there another way to configure File Access to work around this issue?

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • Solved...  Here's what I did in case anyone else runs into this issue:

    CAUSE
This issue occurs if a Content-Length header is present and if the Content-Length
header specifies an amount of data that is larger than the value of the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed property in the IIS metabase.

The default value for the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed property is 204,800 bytes.

    SOLUTION: increase the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed

    From command prompt:
    cd c:\inetpub\adminscripts

    cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/ASPMaxRequestEntityAllowed 1073741824
