Project Server 2010, assign a task to a team RRS feed

    Hi All,

    One of my Project Manager is creating a single task where 60-70 users are going to work on it.

    Is there any option in Project Server 2010, where i can create a group/team, so that PM can select one team/group in MPP, on publishing it will assing the tasks to all the users in that group/team.

    Please suggest, this is very critical in running our Business.

    Hi Ravishanker,

    you can add resources to a team and assign a task to the team. Afterwards a team member can assign this team task to himself via MyTask -> Tasks -> Insert Row -> Insert Team Tasks.  But only the resource can report status on it, not everybody on that team. I´m not aware that its possible to assign a task to all members of a team (out of the box), maybe you should have a look at 3rd party solutions.
