Turn of FOPE sync notifications - Synchronization Schedule Disruption RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi we have recently migrated from FOPE to EOP and we've also got the directory sync working with the new Windows Azure sync tool with EOP. But we continually keep receiving these emails from FOPE and we cannot change or disable them in our old FOPE admin centre-

    Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for taking advantage of the Directory Synchronization Tool for uploading your user list.  We currently show that you are scheduled to refresh your user list every 12h:0m.  The last update we received was on Thu, 25 Sep 2014 01:34:08 GMT.

If this is a known issue, please ignore this reminder.  You will continue to receive these reminders until the list has been refreshed while at least one domain is configured to be updated by the Directory Synchronization Tool.

    Thank you,

  • Also want to follow up on this if someone has an answer. Many of our clients were on FOPE and are now on EOP. The transitions are all successful, but we keep getting the same FOPE alert as the OP regarding those clients. Be nice if we can turn them off.

  • Long story short, create a transport rule in EOP to block the emails at that level. This was the suggestion by Microsoft after logging a service request and them getting in contact with me quite quickly. Apparently the emails will stop after decommissioning of the old service at the end of the year after everyone has been migrated across.
