Unattend.xml is missing sections after being deployed. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure when this problem started but now every time I capture an image the local admin account is disabled.  I have made the changes in the unattend.xml that should re-enable the local admin account and this has worked in the past. I have updated to the latest ADK 1511 and MDT 2013 u2.

I have compared a machine that was deployed previously to the current reference image and noticed that there were missing sections in the unattend.xml after booting notably the auto login portion. I have copied the portion of the Unatted files below.

Is this causing my issue? if so how can I fix this? or am looking completely in the wrong place?

    Thanks,

  • Hi

What OS are you trying to deploy?

There is a different unattend.xml for each OS version and architecture.

I have check all mine and none of them are missing the "EnableAdmin" step.

    Kind regards

I am trying to deploy windows 8.1 64bit.  both of the unattend files are from the same OS version, that's what is odd. all of a sudden a portion of the xml doesn't seem to be sent to the OS.

  • I figured out my own problem.  I was trying to add an application IDM Filenet viewer 4.0.3. for what ever reason this program is causing the issues with not re-enabling the administrator account after sysprep.
