unattend file not running

    Question

  • Hi All,

    Using sccm version 1606

I have an unattend file in the task sequence applied to the OS......

But when I check setupact it appears to run locally from sysprep/panther....nothing there to show that it's distributed from the network and there's no errors.

setuperr - shows an error "SYSPRP setupdigitclassdevs failed with error 0"

Not much information, but can someone advise how I can troubleshoot this.....

    thanks

All replies

    1. What OS are you deploying?
    2. What ADK version are you using?
    3. Can you post the unattend.xml you're using?
    4. Did you create a package, put the unattend.xml in it and used it in your Apply Operating System -step?

  • OS is Win10 enterprise

    ADK Version is 1607

No I didn't put the unattend file in it....just assumed it ran when associated with the task sequence.

    Unattend file:

  • Not wise posting the passwords, even if it's encrypted in your unattend.xml, please delete those lines from your post.

Create a package, point it to the source folder which contains the unattend.xml and then on your task sequence's "Apply Operating System" -step, use that package and filename (unattend.xml).

  • Passwords were not the real deal......but deleted anyway.

    Have created the package :

  • That looks good, if the package unattend you're using, has Win10E.xml inside it, then you're good to go..

Another side-note: why don't you have Format & Partition Disk -step in your sequence?

  • That's the problem.....its not good to go, it doesn't apply.

Not sure why, thought it did it by default.......fairly new to sccm
