Hi
Central administration in WSS 3.0 is down due to change in domain name.
As previously i log into central admin by providing credential as oldDomain\administrator
but now i have newDomain\Administrator. So nobody is able to access the site. Please guide how to change these service accounts so my central admin starts working.

I would backup all Dbs and sanp shot / image the sharepoint servers to enable roll back. Also you can migrate the users (if needed) with this command:

Thanks

Hi,
Changing the account details to access a Sharepoint web application on a new domain may not resolve the entire problem.
Also run the Sharepoint Products and Technology Wizard again on the server hosting the Sharepoint central administration website, as this is where the farm account is initially configured.

your solutions seems to provide change in password but the current scenario is that i have a new domain name now followed by old username.
previously it was - oldDomain\administrator
and now it is- new domain\administrator

When running the commands also specify the new domain \ username...
Thanks
