Cannot video call using MOC 2007 R2

Question
-
Hi,
I am fairly new to OCS and am trying to enable users to video call each other. I have installed the conferencing add-ins to outlook. I have checked under Forest/Global Properties/Meetings tab that the default policy has 'enable IP audio' and 'enable IP video' both checked. All users are set to the default policy. Outlook and MOC restarted.
However, when I right click on a contact in MOC, I do not get the option to video call. Also, when having an IM conversation, the video button is greyed out.
I must be missing something here and it's driving me insane! If anyone can help with enabling this feature I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance.

Hi
First of, have you configured the camera on the clients? Via the audio and video setup?
There is also a option to Disable video that you can do via a GPO or registry but if this is a new installation i dont think anyone should have enabled it.
Anyway its called Disable Audio/Video Conferencing (DisableAVConferencing) and you can read more about it in the Office Communicator 2007 R2 Group Policy Field Guide. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=447BDBEB-66DD-4199-A5F7-00BEF747FCD5&displaylang=en&displaylang=en

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for the quick reply. I have just this very moment got to the bottom of it- and you were spot on! A group policy had been implemented to disable audio/video calls and PC to PC video. My network guys confirmed using GPMC that this was the case.
I now intend to get that group policy disabled and hand control back to OCS. This way I can apply audio/video policy on an individual or group basis.
Thanks again.

Great, glad i could help even thoug the answer got malformed or what ever happen up there...
It might be some other good things inside that policy which you could read more about in the document. And just change that specific value would probably solve the video thing.
