  • You need to import this from the WSUS catalog normally so it`s not available by default. You should download it standalone and make a package/application to deploy it.

    I would go simply with a application and do wusa.exe "IE11MUI.MSU" /quiet /norestart

     Also make a uninstall in case wusa.exe /uninstall "IE11MUI.MSU" /quiet /norestart

This would be the easy way to do things (don't forget detection method).

    Hope this help

I have no clue what the detection method should be. Is there an application I can download that will tell me how the registry has changed recently? I could then install this on a test device and look for the registry change. Would the registry information be listed some where in the Technet world?

There were over 3000 items for the wsus.exe process when the installation ran. Is "RegSetValue" the operation that is used to write information to the registry?

  • Yes it is.

You could also look at the file in the Ie folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer" you should see a folder like fr-Fr for french or what ever you needed.

  • Why do you have in your command line /update-no ?

Pretty sure this is not something that WUSA support.

you will find the info here :https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/934307

I took that part out. I believe it was in there by mistake. Had to do with installing IE 11. It still failed with or without "/update-no". What I did find was that in order to install the language pack for IE I needed to have the same language pack for Windows 7 already installed.
