Publishing CRM 2011 IFD Via UAG ADFS 2.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

Im in a Scenario where i want to publish my CRM 2011 IFD instance via UAG.

I've looked into it and understand i need to create a new trunk for UAG , is it possible for this new trunk to have the same IP as the other trunk i have?

Also the following article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh490310.aspx  says i need to create 3 different applications in this trunk for CRM ,which will each be published via https . It says in the article that i will need to point the DNS records for the 3 addition URLS to the UAG server. Would this mean i need an additional 3 IP's or should just an additional ip on the trunk be needed?

    Thanks

  • Yes, in general each trunk will require a unique IP address.

You can host three applications within the same trunk, and then point external DNS for each <something>.domain.com to the same trunk IP address.

The intructions do say "...Create an HTTPS trunk or use an existing trunk..."

FYI - I think there will actually only be one CRM application after using the CRM wizard, the other two applications are the ADFS application and Portal applications which are there to support cthe CRM app...

    Cheers
