using rules from MPs for custom targets RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

the Exchange 2007 MP has some rules in it to monitor non-paged and paged memory pools and issues respective alerts, when certain thresholds are being exceeded. I would like to use these rules for some non-Exchange servers also. The rules are targeted against "Microsoft Exchange 2007 All Servers Installation" by default and I am searching for a way to target the rule also against a custom group of servers. Is it possible to do something like this and if so, how?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I think it would be easier for you to = create a new=20 rule instead. And target that rule to the other=20 machines.

  • Second this.  You can't retarget rules - try making a new MP that targets the rule at a class that then is grouped by your group container.
