Updating to Windows 10 1903 breaks Nvidia Creator Ready Driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I am developing on the MagicLeap One and Hololens2 and recently updated my two dev machines to 1903. Now my MagicLeap One does not render correctly and I saw that they require the NVidia Creator Ready Driver for UE4 development, this driver is no longer able to be installed to Windows even though my Graphics Card (Nvidia GTX 1070) is built for it. Is there a fix or work around to this issue without going back to 1809(or other) as I don't want to reinstall Windows. The available Studio Ready Drivers do not work either.

  • Hi,

Rollback to 1809 and reinstall the software driver might be the solution.

If possible, I would recommend you wait a bit until Windows 10 1903 matures with future cumulative updates.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi,

Did you tested to install the latest version of the Nvidea Creator Ready driver? Download link

I don't think if there are another way to resolve this issue, just do a rollback into 1809 and reinstall the software driver, attempting that the Nvidea constructor publish new version compatible with Windows 10 1903.

  • I did test installing the latest version of Nvidia Creator Ready Drivers, they fail to install and say the OS is incompatible.

What is the safest way to rollback to 1809?

  • How do I revert to 1809 when I've had 1903 for more than 10 days? So I can't use the revert update feature.

  • Unfortunately, Windows 10 deletes automatically the Windows.old folder after 10 days (by default) and we can't rollback to the previous version of Windows 10.

The only way is to save your data and re-format your PC with 1809 image, then restore all data & software.
