    Hi,

      My friend asked me a question tat he created a state machine workflow in sharepoint 2010. He assigned a different correlation token to every state. What is the use to assign different correlation token in every state. Can you explain what refers correlation token and when it will be used?

    In State Machine Workflow Create Task Activity so you have to create a new co-relation token and set the owner activity of that CorrelationToken to your state rather then the workflow.

    If your task is used in multiple states then you have to create a parent state and add both states in parent state and set the owner activity of CorrelationToken to parent state.
