  • Calendars are tied to mailboxes, not to groups, so you can not have a one-to-one relationship between a calendar and a DL.

You can however create a resource mailbox that everyone can access

  • A DL is just a mail enabled universal group in AD.  You still need a mailbox store for your calendar data and only AD user objects can be mailbox enabled.  Just turn your group to a "Universal Security Group" and assign rights to a sales mailbox.

  • It is the same reason as why a DL could not set up autoreply, that a DL has no a mailbox associated.

As a walkaround, we may create a resource mailbox to represent the DL; or share the DL owner/delegate's mailbox calendar as instead.

    Your understading would be appreciated.

You can create a group calendar using all the mailboxes in that DL, but a DL in of itself can not have a calendar associated with it because its not a mailbox.
