  • Hi Amber,

Did you tried to monitor the result under Outlook safe mode? It might be some third party add-ins that is causing the issue (which is the most common cause of Office issues).

    Try:

Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, then press Enter.

  • Thanks for trying to help.

We tried that, also with an online repair via Control Panel. Not sure which one fixed it, but it's gone now. happy.

  • Hi Amber,

"Outlook stops working" or "Outlook not responding" is a common error for Outlook users. There might be following few reasons of this error such as:
    - outdated Outlook,
    - an issue in installed add-ins,
    - conflict in anti-virus,
    - large size of the mailbox,
    - corrupted Office programs,
    - damaged/corrupted Outlook data files,
    - the user profile might be corrupted, etc.

These above issues can be fixed from several hassle-free solutions:

    - first, install latest updates
    - repair Office programs
    - repair the Outlook data files
    - fix the add-in issue, if any
    - create a new user profile
