Time Reporting Periods in chronological order (OData query) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In an Excel PivotTable (OData query),  I have many weeks which are in a strange order: for each week I display the week number and 2 digits for the year:

but some weeks of 2016 are before 2018 and some others are after 2018... :(

how to avoid this disorder ?

    Thanks and regards

  • Hi,

I am always using naming convention

Sem-YY-WW or YYYY-WW to avoid this situation. Moreover, when using bulk creation, I create first only 9 weeks with leading "0", afterwards the remaining 43 or 44 weeks. Period name is just a text, so any sorting will mix up the value.

Suggestion for your current situation: add period start date or replace period name by period start date to solve that issue.

    Regards
    Barbara
