User acceptance

    Question

  • My school wnats to set up a 'User Acceptance' start screen so that when a user logs on they have to accept the user policy  to carry on using the system.  After the first log in and accptance the screen will not display for the rest of the academic year.   Is this possible?  Do we need any special software or can we edit the start screen options to create this?

  • Hi Lezmcg,

I guess the user policy you are talking about is not the group policy but some rules and information that you want the customer to follow.

Let's think about the below scenario, you want a simple poped up window with the rules and 2 buttons one is OK another one is Exit. If user selected OK then he could go ahead if selected Exit then the computer would shutdown automaticly and log the user off.  If that's the case, I think a script can do this. If that's not the case, maybe you need a programmer:-)

Hereby I  provide you a link about the powershell script and you can check it for some reference:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff730941.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

If you have anything unclear you may ask your questions in the posershell forum, there are a lot of experts would be willing to help you.

The powershell forum link is just as below:

    Best Regards,
