PST files with passwords RRS feed

  • Question

  • Pst files(old mail messages and contact names) that were created in micorsoft outlook 2000.

When exported the pst files to outlook 2003 the pst files ask for a password. How could this happen?

How can the pst files be recovered?

After checking the issue, it seems this is a general Outlook issue. As this forum focuses on SteadyState specific issues, this inquiry would best be posted to Office Outlook  newsgroup:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the newsgroups regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.  Thank you for your understanding.
