To use Onedrive as active harddrive RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I wonder if it's possible to use Onedrive as an active harddrive to put programs on and use computer at same time?

This is because of a small ssd drive on my hybrid pc.

    Is this possible?

    Best regards Fredrik

(Sorry if my english is bad)

  • Hi Fredrik.

I don't think it is possible to use OneDrive in such a way: both the OS and the programs need to be installed locally and the network latency would be too high for you to use it proficiently.
OneDrive has been designed to provide just storage (as you know) and it has to be constantly in sync with a local drive.

    Bye.

  • It's not possible to use oneDrive as an active drive because OneDrive itself need to store files on C:\ drive and then sync over cloud...
