I am having issues trying to install MOSS 2007 on Windows Server 2008 R2 (i.e. Not Windows Server 2008).
I have installed WSS 3.0 no problem, but when I try an upgrade to MOSS using either; slipstream setup or the MOSS 2007 Upgrade I get the following message:
The program is blocked due to compatability issues.
This is drivng me nuts.
Can MOSS 2007 be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2?
Can anyone tell me how they got around the problem?
Your help will always be appreciated ;)
Thanks.
John.

Only MOSS 2007 SP2 can be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2. You'll have to download WSS SP2 and MOSS SP2 and slipstream those update files into the Updates folder of your MOSS 2007 install. Some instructions can be found here: http://keirgordon.com/post/Installing-SharePoint-on-Windows-Server-2008-R2.aspxhttp://thewirewss.blogspot.com
