Outlook slow to load profiles RRS feed

  • Just a reiteration of what seems like a common and new fault : excessive time to load Outlook profiles.

    Microsoft® Outlook® for Office 365 MW (16.0.10730.20102) 32-bit

    Product ID: 00201-10440-88803-AA550

    Session ID: 2EC2AD60-0C33-4AF8-87F6-9A15E8E23BC6

    This only started about two weeks ago (mid Sep 2018). Running safe mode will temporarily fix it, as well as doing a repair in the Programs section of Control Panel.

    What's your account type? Exchange, POP or IMAP?

    Have you made any changes to Office or Windows before this issue occurs?

    This issue doesn't occur when running Outlook in safe mode, right? In this case, the problem may lie on any third party add-ins. Please go to File > Options > Add-ins. Choose COM Add-in and click Go. Unselect all the add-ins and then restart Outlook to check the results.

    If issue persists, it could also be related with personal customization. Please create a new profile to see if it helps.

  • Hello,

    Microsoft Outlook is very slow in loading profile, is a very common issue. As moderator Perry Pan has suggested, most probably it might be because third-party COM add-in added in your Outlook account. The COM add-in affect the proper working of Outlook account as it slows down loading Outlook, switching between folder takes more time, Outlook system crashes in between.
