MRO-3.3.2 installation error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have followed the instructions on this (https://mran.microsoft.com/documents/rro/installation) and first uninstall MRO 3.2.1 then install 3.3.2. Right after installation completes, it prompts asking me if I want to install Visual C++ 2015 or not and I clicked cancel. Now when I try Rgui.exe it produces the following error. I am on Windows 7 64 bit machine.

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

    What should I do?

  • HI there,

Did you have .NET Framework 4.5.2 install? It's a required pre-requisite. Visual C++ 2015 is optional install if you like to use R Tools for Visual Studio.
