Unable to edit project permissions for a project in project center RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We recently migrated a Project Server 2010 instance from one single server to a 3 server SP Farm. Everything works fine but when trying to access the project permissions for a project in the project center it results in an access denied SharePoint error. The same error results if trying to modify the project permissions from the Project Pro client (File, Info).  We are at Dec 2012 CU on all servers and clients. Is this a problem fixed in later CU, or is it related to a permissions issue on the SP Farm itself.  All PWA app permissions are enabled and the error occurs for Administrators with default permissions and categories enabled.

On the pre-migrated single farm instance this functionality works fine, so I'm sure that its a result of migrating to the SP Farm but don't know how to fix it. The project permissions are enabled for the users. Every user gets the same error.

Some advice would be great !  Thanks.

  • During the migration, was User sync job was successful?

Try  editing one user from manage user page and click on save without making any changes. Have this user test edit project permission. If this works then you might need to edit security group by  removing and adding one user from the category . Repeat this for all the  categories, make sure to validate queue job.
