Open Project Client from PWA Using Link RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good afternoon all,

I am working to migrate to MS Server & Project 2010 and they are connected to each other. I can open a schedule from Server in Client, but am having issues opening Client from PWA/Server. It works on some computers but not on all.

I've checked the IE compatibility and there isn't any difference between the comps that work and those that don't.

    Is there  setting I missed?

    Thanks,

    J

  • Also check that the PWA site is listed in either the local or trusted sites.

  • JAbbottlll,

If you're getting an Error ID of 12015(0xEEF) then check the minimum requirements on the server software and compare it to your versions of Project Professional.

    1. Go to PWA Settings -> Server Settings.  Check minimum requirements for Project Pro.

    2. Open Project Pro and select "About Project".  Check your current version (e.g. 13.0.4953.1000)

    3. If the number in PWA is larger (new version) than in Project Pro then you need to update Project Pro.

If your users updated their Project Pro software differently then some might by up-to-date and some might be out-of-date to connect to the server.

  • I think I know the problem.  I notice that title contains part of the project description.  If the project is not opening in project pro, then project pro client needs to be configure to open projects

    Open Project Pro

    1) Manage acccounts

    2) Add configuration for connection to project server

    3) Verify that it works
