How can i change default port to use iis on distribution point RRS feed

    we are updating sccm 2007 r3 to sccm 2012.

    and we have distribution points.

    we installed iis on distribution points and configured port is 81. because port 80 is used another application. we have to use another port then 80.

    when we upgrade our distribution points, i saw an error in distmgr.log file.

    Creating, reading or updating IIS registry key for a distribution point.
    IISPortsList in the SCF is "80".
    IISSSLPortsList in the SCF is "443".
    IISWebSiteName in the SCF is "".
    IISSSLState in the SCF is 224.

    Successfully updated the  port list in IIS.
    Failed to start the default web site. Error = The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
    SSL is not required. Skipping prerequisite checks for SSL.

    how can change the default port used by distribution points iis ?

  • Client communication port changes in ConfigMgr are all or nothing, you can't just change it for a single component.

    if i check the "use custom web site"  option, do i have to install SMSWeb website to all of site system (including management points)

    also must i change "Client Requests-HTTP (TCP)" value to another value then 80 on the same screen ?
