When I try to remove any program from the startup list using Windows Defender's Program Explorer or any other maintenance utility, I get the following error:
The Microsoft Windows Software Explorer returned an error: 0x80070005. Access is denied.
Could you please help me solve this problem?
I have cleaned my registry, defragmented the registry, ... but I still have this error.
I have the exact same problem regarding Software Explorer on Windows Vista. I wanted to disable a program from my currently running programs list in Software Explorer. Intially it shows currently running programs. But when you want to see the programs
for all users, or basically want torun as administrator, it shows this error. This is not an old problem. It just started a few days ago. Please provide some support on this.
