  • Hi Aerrow,

I am not sure it will help you or not, but this happens when SQL Express is not installed correctly.

    1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Skype for Business Server\Deployment\Cache\Version Number\ you will find the SQLExpr_x64.exe, extract the installer into a location in the server.

    2. Go to Control Panel and right click on SQL installaion - select uninstall and run a repair of SQL and when it prompts for media, route the folder where you have extracted the SQL Installer earlier.

After repair, simply try to install SFB.

    Cheers,
    udhyan.

  • Now, when tried to install Rewrite Module manually, i got this issue. This issue simply says i need IIS version 7.0 or greater..... but on the background you can see i do have already IIS 10.

  • Hi all,
Thank you for your support. The issue was with the IIS. 'Rewrite Module 2' on Skype for Business 2015 was not able to detect IIS 10 on Windows Server 2016. so I have to make around to get the solution. Have posted the solution on this link. Hope this might save you day :).

  • Hi Aerrow,

just wanted to add that you can download the latest version of the RewriteModule here:

    https://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/url-rewrite#additionalDownloads

Installing this manually does not require any registry changes. This version is also the one that comes with the CU5.

    Regards,

    Paul
