  • Hi, I getting this error message when trying to delete a site/subsite

    Deleting the site using stsadm is fine, so this a sharepoint problem or iis and webfront end problem.

    Can someone shed me some light please

  • Have you found any answer to this problem.

    I am having same problem, i recenty installed SharePoint and ServicePack 1 and then CU and Hotfix from july.

    Each time i delete the site i get the same error lik you. And i ant import and eksport the cmp files.

    Something is wrong with the CU/hotfix. Any one can help?

  • I agree on the bug comment.

    Maurice (see below) seems to indicate that you have to install SP1 on SQL 2008R2 before doing SP1 on Foundations.

    I'm stuck, I did the service pack on SharePoint first, and then after reading his article (I'm getting that error) I installed SP1 on SQL. However, this problem persists.

    The only advice I can offer is that remove-spweb from powershell and delete site from SharePoint Designer still seem to work. This is very frustrating.

  • I was having the same issue after attaching a database backup to a web application in a new SharePoint 2010 SP1 environment. My database backup was from a pre-SP1 environment. The fix for me was to update this database to SP1 level. You can do this using the Upgrade-SPContentDatabase powershell commandlet. To check and see if your application database needs to be updated, go into Central Administration and navigate to “Upgrade and Migration” -> “Review database status”.
