I Cannot download the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

I have looked at some other questions like this one and it is not allowing me to complete the download it says "An internal system error has occurred please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.Log in your windows folder to determine the problem.

I looked in it and I do not understand the problem I recently reset my computer to factory version.

Hi,

Sometimes this issue can be caused by permission limitation.

Please try following steps:

1. Download the full DirectX End-User Runtimes, and NOT the web installer. At the time of this post, the latest full download was (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109).

2. Run the executable file and extract all to an accessible location (e.g. Desktop)

3. Go to the folder with the extracted files, right-click on DXSETUP.exe and Run as an Administrator.

4. This should fix all the permission issues.

If it doesn't fix your issue, post back the DXError.log and DirectX.Log in your windows folder here for our research.

Do you have antivirus ?

If have pls. stop antivirus and try installation again.

Hi,

Sometimes this issue can be caused by permission limitation.

2. Run the executable file and extract all to an accessible location (e.g. Desktop)

3. Go to the folder with the extracted files, right-click on DXSETUP.exe and Run as an Administrator.

4. This should fix all the permission issues.

DirecX 11 is included in Windows 7.

Have you run dxdiag.exe to see what it tells you about your system? The version of DirectX is noted on the main page.
