Getting Prompted for Credentials on Launch - SCCM integration RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have enabled Virtualization in SCCM and can get packages to run when the advertisements are set to "Download content from DP and run locally".  However, if they advertisements are set to "Stream" or the package is included in a Task sequence (and the TS is set to "Access Content directly from.." , the user gets prompted for credentials when trying to launch the virtual app.

The App-v client was installed using the AppVirtMgmtClient.sms file

    Any Ideas?

  • Thanks for the help..

It ended up being Windows Authentication not being enabled on IIS.

  • Hello,

Have you disabled Require authorization if cached using a property for the MSI?

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried changing RequireAuthorizationIfCached from 1 to 0 with the same outcome.   I get prompted for credentials...

  • By now, about a hundred different methods...

    for the most part -

    Using the AppVirtMgmtClient.sms file

    and the following

    "setup.exe" /s /v"/qn MSIDEPLOYMENT=TRUE SWICACHESIZE=\"12144\" SWISKIPDATASETTINGS=\"false\" REQUIREAUTHORIZATIONIFCACHED=\"0\" ALLOWINDEPENDENTFILESTREAMING=\"1\" /L*V \"%temp%\AppVClient-Standalone.log\" "

  • Hello,

    1. Remove the MSIDEPLOYMENT property - as its something previously used from an old release

    2. Strip your base-client and add the App-V Client - verify that it works.

Add your components one at a time and find out when it breaks

  • In the SFTLOG.TXT, have you verified that the DP referenced where these applications are trying to be streamed is in fact the DP where these applications are located?

What version/build of 4.6 are you using? The reason I asked is we had a known issue where the OverrideURL was not getting set right:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/983173
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028766
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2252568
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2432506

Once that has been verified and the issue is still occuring, I would be interested in seeing what is logged on the IIS server where the DP is located.
