Copying Outlook (2003) data from backup CD-R to Outlook 2010 RRS feed

    I backed up my Outlook Contacts and Calendar as "My Documents" on a CD-R as well as hard drive. Hard drive later crashed and no data could be recovered from it. I replaced hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP-Home edition, plus MS Office suite in 2010 version. I then copied the CD-R data to My Documtents on new hard drive. I want to transfer the Contacts and Calendar data to Outlook but I get error messages about .pst file copying. Also I don't know what target name to copy these data files so as too import them to Outlook.

    My computer is  a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop; new hard drive has 250 GB.

    Hi,

    1. To repair your PST file. 

    Please search for ScanPST in your the folder contain your Office applications. For example: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

    And double click on it, locate your PST file, and click Start to scan and repair your PST file.

     

    2. To import your PST file into your Outlook.

    Open Outlook 2010, go to File -> Open -> Import -> Import from another program or file -> Outlook Data File(.pst)
