How to redownload content/updates on WSUS? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I recently realised that my WSUS is missing some crucial updates like SP1 and SP2 for Vista. I probably delete them by mistake when I was cleaning up the server. Is there a way I can re-download them?

I’ve read on the internet that I need to reset the database or delete the WSUS content, and then it will synch again, but the problem is that nobody confirm that and i’d want to make sure before messing something up.

    Thanks in advance,

In the Windows Event Viewer no errors, only one warning that there is over 10% computers with failing updates which i know about and working on it now.

OK, you can import the SP1 + SP2 for VISTA. Rightclick on Updates >
Import Updates. You must do this direct on the WSUS and you have to
    use the Internet Explorer.

  • Ok, I’ve figure it out. When I was setting it up, I thought the SPs comes after standard or critical updates, but you have to specially select them...

Thank you for your time and help.
