MOSS 2007 - How to display all Groups in Quick Launch in Advanced Permissions RRS feed

  • Question

  • In MOSS 2007, when you go to a site's Advanced Permissions page, there are several groups listed in the quick launch under the Groups header, and in our case, usually a link to 'more...' to be able to see them all.  Is there a way to force the Advanced Permissions page to display all the applied Groups in the quick launch so the 'more...' link goes away?  Or at least increase the default number of Groups displayed in this section?

For example, we have a template that has 13 Groups applied, but only 10 are displayed in the quick launch.  In another case where we have 14 Groups, only 11 are displayed.  Is there a paramter that controls the number of groups displayed in this section?  We have one site with only 2 Groups applied, and the Advanced Permissions page shows the both groups.  We'd like to have all the Applied Groups to be displayed in the quick launch like the site with only 2 groups applied, but for our templates that have 10+ Groups.

I could have sworn I saw somewhere that this was an adjustable parameter, but now I can't find the article/blog/page etc.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks,

    -Richard.

  • You can customise the groups that are displayed by firstly clicking the more .. link and then choosing the Settings->Edit Group Quicklaunch menu.

This way you can control which groups are shown, however, when new ones are added you will need to do this again.

    Hope this helps
