discovery registry values RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have to discover set of computers based on software installed.

    but problem is that on some systems it under registry path "SOFTWARE\Microsoft" and at some places under path "SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft".how i can create a discovery that will check if any of the path is available.It will discover those computers.

    You can use a Powershell/VB Script to discovery this servers or you use a Registry Discovery and configure a OR Expression.

    Well you could also use a WMI discovery instead a VBScript / registry discovery. I think it is worth to look at this apporoach, because you will be very flexible / independent of the systems architeture.
