Change the default sorting attribute for a particular search scope in FIM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi FIM Experts,

For any Search Scope, FIM by default sorts out the result based on "Display Name" attribute. We have a requirement to sort the results for 1 particular Search Scope based on some other attribute.

Is there any way to do this? I am clueless at this point. I was able to add/remove attributes to be viewed in the Result panel but was unable to find a way to change the default sorting.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

if I remember correctly you cannot Change that Default behavior.

You could try to put another Attribute as first in the list, but I think the DisplayName sorting is a fixed Thing.

  • Yes Peter, I was able to put another attribute in first column but wanted to check if there is any way to default sort the result based on another attribute. I know it would not be straight forward but still any way to do it??

    Thanks for your help!!

  • Hi,

then there is no way, beside you want to modify the Default FIM SP Solution files (ASP.NET).

But that way is a non supported option and I never done this.
