Hi,
Short version: Hyper-V role installed on Windows 2019 with gen2 Win 2019 VM. File share created on that Win 2019 VM. File open (200Mb) or copy from share with Win 10 client machine is realy slow.
Please check detailed issue description: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/3248a691-d32f-4ac6-9175-94524afc35ba/windows-server-2019-hyperv-guest-on-windows-server-2019-hyperv-host-networking-performance-error?forum=servervirtualization .
I guess we have posted it on the wrong place..

Hi,
Have set up test environment to try it. It was 100% repeatable. A have done a lot of testing and searching for solution..
After a while i found folowing post: https://win10.guru/hyper-v-external-switches-killing-networking-in-insider-builds/ - i the coment section RSC is mentioned. That leaded to the next one about Receive Segment Coalescing (RSC) in the vSwitch: https://docs.microsoft.com/sl-si/windows-server/networking/technologies/hpn/rsc-in-the-vswitch?view=vsts
Logical step was disabling RSC in the VM - That solved the problem. Application from shared folder opens normaly fast (as on Windows 2016 VM or Windows 10 1809 VM).
Best regards
Marko

I had a similar issue with an Intel X722 NIC. But only with VMs, that are < 2019 (Host is a Server 2019).
Disabling RSC on the vSwitch didn't fixed it.
But after disabling RSC directly on the NIC (Recv Segment Coalescing) all works fine!

This seems to have worked for me. I should know in the a.m.
Been struggling for a while with it. and even crystal disk manager could get me GB connection speed over the network with this done it seems to work. so waiting on users to let me know how it goes tommorow.

Hi @JackB_ZA,
Intel has published a new driver (Version 24.1) a few days ago.
I haven't yet tested it. But this should/could also fix this issue.

Dialing in here to just to give an update. There's another post on this as well.
It's now october 2019, and we've just used the lastest HPe SPP pack to update drivers / firmwares on our Hyper-V hosts. Just out of curiosity I enabled RSC on our machines again, to verify whether or not it has been fixed by a driver update or so. But alas, enabling it immediately slows down the network to crawling speeds again.
Our machines (both HPe Gen9 and Gen10) are running the built-in HPe 331i quad-port Gigabit, aka rebranded Broadcom NX1 adapters. We are running driver version 214.0.0.0, which is the latest driver from HPe, which is / should be supported for Server 2019.So be warned, it might just not work well on HPe machines on the internal NICs.
