Log generation during Office 365 migration RRS feed

  • Hi Team,

    We have a Exchange 2010 Hybrid environment. And we are planning for Exchange online migration by this weekend. we have around 150 GB free space in log volumes.

    When we migrate to Exchange online, whether it will generate log files in the On-prem exchange. During migration, do we really need to consider the size of the mailboxes to avoid log volume full issues.

    Please confirm.

    Transaction Logs are generated on the destination servers, not the source servers

  • Hi Andy,

    Thanks for your confirmation. We did migration of 41 GB mailbox, still there were no issues reported.

    And moreover the MRS Proxy is a CAS role and as nothing to do with HUB roles, we understand there is no need of logs here.
