Installation of MRO 3.5.0 from source RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm a newbie here. I'm searching for a documentation on installation of MRO-3.5.0 from source, but wasn't able to find one. Could anyone point me to the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Yuan

  • On what platform are you trying to install? If it's one of the supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS/SUSE), it's much easier to just install our binaries (which include the Intel MKL libraries, which aren't open-source, and so won't be part of a source build). If you're looking to build on an unsupported platform, you build MRO just as you would build R itself--on a Unix-alike, you do a configure and then make. On Windows, you follow the instructions in the R Installation and Administration manual.

The R Installation and Administration manual gives some gotchas for some older platforms, but if you're trying something completely new, you may run into issues.

    Good luck!
