searchprotocolhost.exe is running constantly on one PC downgrading performance can anybody help? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have one PC that when the user is in Outlook 2007 the spinning wheel goes on and off every 2 seconds causing delays when my client is trying to create an e-mail message.  I tried stopping searchprotocolhost.exe in the task manager but it restarts immediately.  I then tried stopping it in Services which works temporarily but when I go back into Outlook I see that it has started again.  I have four other users in the same office that are not experiencing this problem in Outlook.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

    Thanks,

    Alan
