Vista Ultimate SP2 MC detects all Hauppauge HVR2250 tuners as analog. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I original had a hauppauge HVR1600 and it was working great until about 2 months ago.  All of the sudden couldn't get any channels and I'm using it to receive OTA ATSC.  I tried several things that I read on the internet to fix the problem.  I updated drivers for the card for video for audio and  nothing worked.  I just bought a new Hauppauge HVR2250.  Before I installed it I uninstalled all the drivers and software that I had with the HVR1600, rebooted then installed the new card.  Well this card is doing the samething even in the Win-TV application when you are configuring the souce all the tuners are listed under anolog and nothing under ATSC.  It's like windows doesn't know digital exist.  has anyone had this issue before?  I've heard about Vista not recognizing combo cards but that was suppose to be fixed in SP1 and the hotfix says it doesn't apply to my computer.  Any suggestions?
