Hi,
"Last contacted" means the client contacts the WSUS server for content downloading or detection or selfupdate .
"Last status report" means the client executed calls of the ReportingWebService .
I'd suggest you first check the setting of GPO "Specify intranet Microsoft Update service location" , and both "set the intranet update service for detecting updates" and "set intranet statistics server " would be same WSUS
server in your case .

If these settings are correct , I'd suggest you manually execute "check for updates " and then check windows update log to see if there is any clue .
