  • Hi,

    You could try the following:

    1. Log into Windows 10,
    2. Suspend Bitlocker
    3. Reboot your computer into Windows 10 again
    4. Re enable BitLocker (if it doesn't automatically do it).

This will "reset" BitLocker to understand your new boot configuration.

    Kind regards,

  • This is unwanted but expected behavior if you use a TPM 2.0 together with a non-UEFI installation.

Steps to verify if that is the cause: use diskpart on the command line

open an elevated cmd promp by rightclicking cmd.exe and selecting "run as administrator". There, launch one after the other

    list disk

->if the output shows no "*" below GPT, that would mean, it's no GPT disk and thus, it cannot opearte together with a TPM 2.0. Again to verify the TPM version, on that command prompt type

    and then type

That will show you info about your tpm including the version. If indeed 2.0 and indeed a non-GPT OS disk, we have found the problem.

Now for a solution: 1st, suspend bitlocker. Then, still on the same command line, use the Tool mbr2gpt.exe (it's part of windows 10) to convert your disk to GPT. The command would go

    MBR2GPT.exe /convert /allowfullos

Afterwards, reboot and see how the TPM behaves.
