  • Question

  • Hi,

I have configured Self-service password reset and registration for Intranet and it is working fine. However users access accessing from internet prompting for usersname and password before accessing the registration page. Is there any possibility to avoid that screen and only registration screen appear where we can give user name and password to authenticate for registration.

Does your question relate in any way to Microsoft Project, a project management application?  If not, you have posted your question in the wrong user forum, and I would recommend you repost it in a more relevant user forum.  Otherwise, please tell us how your question relates to Microsoft Project.

IE will prompt for any URL that is not considered an Intranet site, it will pass credential only for these site. You can go to security settings in IE and include the url from above, dev.local, to the intranet zone site list. This should prevent the extra prompt.

  • Hi,

This is totally feasible but not very easy.As per my understanding you have to follow these steps:

    1) First of all Create a login page which uses AD authentication. So, All Active Directory user will be able to Use this page using their AD credentials.

    2) Now, you need to establish SSO(Using ant third party application or by developnig any all by yourself) between Password Registration Site and your this login Page site.

    3) By this way your users need to put their credentials into Login Page site using your desired Authentication method.

I hope this will help you.
