Functions, modules in script browser of ISE RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Please advise on using ready made scripts in Powershell. I use script browser but not sure what the easiset/proper way is to use them.
F.e. ps1: you download them to a certain location, go via ISE to that location and run it

psm1: you set them in a folder and "install" them by doubleclicking or importing the module?

Reason why I'm asking is that I sometime just don't get any output, even with -verbose.

Might be because I'm using the latest (beta) powershell?
    J.

  • You need to start by learning how to use PowerShell. All of your questions are because you have no knowledge of how to use PowerShell.

    Start here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/scriptcenter/dd793612.aspx

In a couple of hours all of this and more will become obvious.

The question you have asked cannot be answered because it is missing critical pieces of information and is ambiguous because you are asking mutually exclusive variations on the same question.  This comes from not having any of the basics.
